About Gaincontrol
We build the infrastructure enterprises need to run AI agents safely.
Not a platform story. Not a suite. Three focused products, each solving a problem that the enterprise AI era created and nobody had adequately addressed.
Gaincontrol was founded on a single observation.
We watched engineering teams across enterprises deploy AI agents that were extraordinarily capable and completely ungoverned. No audit trail. No access boundaries. No mechanism to understand what they were doing, let alone stop them from doing something they shouldn't.
The gap wasn't technical capability. Teams knew how to build agents. What they lacked was the infrastructure to deploy them safely: tools designed specifically for the trust, visibility, and control problems that autonomous AI creates.
Gaincontrol exists to build that infrastructure. The name says exactly what we're here to help organizations do: gain control of AI, not slow it down, not replace it with human processes, but give enterprises the confidence to deploy it at scale without blind spots.
Every product has a name chosen deliberately.
The Myth
From Bao Qingtian (包青天), the incorruptible judge of the Song Dynasty.
Bao Zheng (999–1062 AD), known as Bao Qingtian, was the most celebrated magistrate in Chinese history. Qingtian (青天) means "blue sky" or "clear sky": the sky that conceals nothing, under which all things are seen. He was legendary for his absolute impartiality, his ability to see through false testimony and deception, and his refusal to be influenced by rank, wealth, or political pressure. In Chinese culture, calling an official "Qingtian" is the highest possible tribute to their integrity. He is said to have tried both the living and the dead. No case was too obscure, no deception too subtle.
Why This Name
Quin is the anglicized short form of Qingtian. An AI agent scanner that inherits the same quality: it cannot be deceived, cannot be bypassed, and does not distinguish between powerful agents and insignificant ones. It scans everything, surfaces what is hidden, and reports with the same unflinching clarity that made Bao Qingtian a figure of legend for a thousand years.
The Myth
From the Aegis, Zeus's divine shield.
In Greek mythology, the Aegis was not merely a weapon. It was the ultimate symbol of divine authority and protection, carried by Athena into battle. To stand under the Aegis was to be shielded by the highest power. To stand against it was to face something unconditional and absolute. It represented governance that did not negotiate, did not bend, and did not fail.
Why This Name
We chose this name because AI identity governance needs to carry the same quality. It cannot be optional, partial, or bypassed. Every agent, every action, every access decision must be governed: not by policy documents, but by enforcement that is structural, automatic, and inescapable. That is what Aegis is built to be.
The Myth
From Dronacharya, the master who turned intent into disciplined execution.
In the Mahabharata, Dronacharya was the supreme teacher of martial arts and strategy, guru to both the Pandavas and Kauravas. His defining quality was not personal prowess but mastery of systems: he understood every student's capability, every domain's demands, and how to coordinate many actors toward a single coherent outcome with precision and accountability. He didn't leave execution to chance. Every warrior he trained operated within a understood structure, with defined roles and clear consequences. Improvisation was bounded. Outcomes were not left to uncertainty.
Why This Name
Drona the product inherits this principle at a deeper level. AI is probabilistic: a model cannot guarantee the same output twice, cannot be held to a deterministic contract. But enterprises run on deterministic trust: they need to know exactly what ran, in what sequence, within what boundaries, and with what auditable outcome. Drona is the execution fabric that bridges these two worlds. Structured workflow design constrains the decision space at design time. Runtime enforcement validates every agent action before it executes. The model can be uncertain. Drona ensures the outcome is not. The domain agents (Security, Cloud, ITSM, Database) are not separate products. They are instantiations of this fabric for specific enterprise domains.
Three principles. Non-negotiable.
Depth over breadth
Each product is designed to be the best in its domain, not a feature inside a larger platform. We go deep before we go wide.
Enforcement, not configuration
Security that can be bypassed isn't security. Every product we ship enforces its guarantees structurally, not through dashboards and documentation.
Every action must be accountable
Autonomous systems require stronger audit standards than human ones. If an agent acted, that action must be attributable, reviewable, and revocable.
Build the controls layer
for the agentic enterprise.
If you share our conviction that enterprise AI must be deployable with confidence: visible, governed, and accountable. We'd like to hear from you.
